Bangladesh cricket team reached Antigua in the Caribbean early Sunday morning following a two-day travel from Dhaka. The Tigers had transit in Dubai and New York on their way to the West Indies.
The Bangladesh cricketers were scheduled to have their first training session Monday afternoon at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium. Test and T20I captain Shakib al Hasan, who was on holiday in the USA, was scheduled to join the team Monday evening.
All-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who had a delayed departure from Dhaka due to visa complication, is scheduled to join the squad Tuesday. However, Bangladesh team manager for the West Indies tour, Sabbir Khan, is still in Dhaka, waiting for visa approval.
In their first tour of the Carribbean since 2014, the Tigers will play two Test matches, three ODIs and as many T20Is against the home side. The visiting side will also play two practice games against local opposition.
The Tigers will be looking to give a good account of themselves after a dreadful time in their last West Indies tour where they lost the three-match ODI series. The lone T20I of that series was abandoned due to rain.
Bangladesh will kick off the tour with a two-day practice game, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. The tourist will lock horns with the host in the first Test, starting July 4. The second and final Test will begin on July 12.

The three-match ODI series will begin on July 22 while the second and third ODIs will be held on July 25 and 28 respectively. The two teams will then face each other in the three-game T20I series.
